Making it possible to identify links already visited compared to unvisited links thanks to the styles is essential at a minimum reading comfort.
Objectives
- Facilitate the identification of previously visited content.
- Facilitate the identification of the remaining content to be discovered.
- Inciting new content discovery
Implementation
- Do not apply the same CSS styles by default for unvisited links (readers a or a:link) and for visited links (reader a:visited).
Control
- On each page containing hyperlinks :
- Controlling the presence and use of receiver :visited in CSS stylesheets and using a different style from the one applied to a or a:link or so; li>
- Control the absence of setter :visited in CSS stylesheets to let the default reading device style apply
Validation
