To avoid this kind of surprise, it is crucial to specify the size of the download files. This allows everyone to know exactly what they will get, thus avoiding unpleasant surprises and endless downloads. Avoid surprises of size – always indicate the size of the files downloading!

Objectives

  • Allow to know what to expect before starting the download. This helps avoid unpleasant surprises, such as downloads that take longer than expected.
  • better manage their resources, such as bandwidth and storage space, knowing file size in advance.

Implementation
